Hey there! Thanks for the feedback, and I completely agree with you. (Even though I think femmes can be dapper too, I know what you mean!) We’ve been working to bring on more femme writers and models in the hopes that Qwear can be space for a wider variety of gender presentations. I hope you’ll keep seeing more stuff you like over the next few months, and if you have any specific requests for topics or looks to cover, just let us know! Cheers, Sonny
In response to kibblesx’s comment, Qwear’s goal is to provide a space for all queer women and trans* people to delight in fashion, and this includes femmes.
The current representation of feminine women in the media often don’t include the values that we at Qwear hold: that people of varying sizes, ethnicities, body types, styles, and abilities are beautiful and should be celebrated. They are also in predominantly non-queer spaces that can feel alienating. Femmes are bullied in our community for not being “queer enough,” and from the beginning I felt passionate about creating a space where we could all come together and see each other.
Our plan to give more fabulous femmes a voice doesn’t take away from all the amazing masculine presentations we will continue to display. It will only add to our beautiful and diverse community.
